Missions - Why the Need for...?

Pastor Steven believes that Missions is the heart beat of God. God is a sending God. Some people mistakenly assume that Missions is a calling. Missions is not a calling. Missions is a command. A Calling implies options. It implies that we have the liberty or opportunity to say "no". Caring for people and reaching the lost is not a calling, it is a command.

Missions - Growing Up with...

Pastor Steven grew up with Missions. As s student he was already giving into Missions. In 1975 he led a team of young people into Southern Thailand for Missions. Since then, he had been on numerous missions trips. Today he is still excited about Missions.

Missions Support

As an itinerant minister, Pastor Steven travels frequently for ministry. He ministers and preaches in faith and does not enjoy regular or ongoing support of any individual or church. Still his heart for Missions is such that his faith ministry is currently supporting the followings:

Monthly missions contribution to a new church plant in Borangan City, Philippines for six months commencing February 2005. This is in addition to "one-off" contribution to the works in Tacloban City and Iloilo City, Philippines
Lump sum contribution to Banepa AOG Church, Kathmandu, Nepal for their church and School of Ministry building fund.
Lump sum contribution to a missionary in Kathmandu, Nepal to assist him in purchasing a Jeep for church planting works among the unreach people groups of Eastern Nepal.
Funding numerous individuals on short term missions and/or ministry trips. This includes trips to China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia and Singapore.
Three annual ministry/evangelistic trips to various countries where Steven underwrites the entire costs of ministry and receive no honorarium.

Missions of Oil Paintings

Through sale of his oil paintings, Steven has to date raised more than $64,000 for orphanages, Homes, Ministries, Chartiable organisations and church plantings in a number of countries. View his Oil Paintings

Missions - The Challenge

It is hope that these facts will challenge you to catch a vision for Missions. Pastor Steven believes that the individual Christians should be "on Missions". The church should not be a church of Missions. The church should be a Missions church. Jesus said the "fields are white to harvest." Matthew 9:37 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations." Matthew 28:19
