Awesome Malaysian ministries...

Seeing The Future: The ability to see the future is imperative to success in life, ministry, indeed everything. If we cannot see tomorrow, we will not have today. We must grab hold of the future God has for each of us; the big picture that God has in store for us - that was the core of our message at a number of pastoral and leader conferences held recently in West and East Malaysia.

Ps Phil Ward of Gateway Community Church, Geelong was ministering in tandem with me for the last two weeks. Together with a few other pastors we have had a tremendous time ministering across Malaysia, in particular to tribal pastors and leaders in the interior of Sarawak.

Lun Bawangs Tribe

Years back the Holy Spirit revealed himself to this tribe in the interior of Sarawak. It was called the Gunung Murud revival - at this hilltop, God revealed himself to a tribe people. A major revival swept through this area. Today, many of its people are making headway in Malaysian society. Many churches were established, in just about every village. The Sidang Injil Borneo [SIB] is very well established in the interior of Sabah and Sarawak.

We were privileged to minister in many churches including pastoral/leader conferences in Kota Kinabalu and Lawas. In Lawas alone, we had more than a 100 pastors attending. Praise God we were able to impart gifting, prayed for the sick and oppressed, prayed for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and bring many lives into a new touch with God.

Ps Phil and Ps James Lee of Singapore ministered in far flunk corners of Sarawak on our final weekend - Ps Phil was in Long Sukang whilst Ps James was in Long Somando. They both had great times in the village churches.

Miri Ministry

The team had a great time in Miri - the oil town of Sarawak. The city was clean and well-developed. The hotel we stayed in was perfect; it was comfortable and classy. Calvary Chrismatic Church Miri was very kind indeed to pick up the entire bill of our stay. What a blessing!

Ps Steven spoke in two Sunday services whilst Ps Phil spoke in the main English service and conducted a Leadersip session in the afternoon. God moved wonderfully - many lives were touched and ministered on that Sunday. We were exhausted at the end of the day but happy.....

Klang Ministry

Klang was our second port of call after a session in Johor Bahru. It was a very good session - many were ministered including a Brethen pastor being filled with the Holy Spirit!

Ps Albert Ong and his team were a great help. They made things happened. It was good to connect with pastors. Matter of fact there were 6 Thai pastors at the Conference - and they were so excited about what God was doing that they invited us to hold such a conference in Hatyai, Songkhla, Southern Thailand for 2007.

The Conference so touched one person that he wanted us to do a repeat in the north of Malaysia. He was in fact asking why not many more pastors were involved! So we are serously thinking of such a conference in Penang and Southern Thailand next year.

Balancing Act

Kota Kinabalu Ministry

I had the opportunity to minister at the Basel Christian Church Malaysia (KK English) on Sunday the 9th July. I spoke in two services and the Word was inspirational. Praise God - words were spoken in season to many.

Earlier in the trip we had a pastors conference in KK as well among the Lun Bawangs of the International Full Gospel Fellowship church. God moved wonderfully and at least one pastor and his wife were "saved" from leaving the ministry!
