Thankful to God that He made it possible...
Dear Pastor Steven,
Greetings in the name on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Last Sunday I am very thankful to God that He made it posible for me to come to church. That Sunday I was thinking of not attending because it was late and I had to do some personal things.
On your sermon, you shared about your wife when she had to go through different tests and procedures and after seven years on then she conceived. Upon hearing your testimony I really wanted to cry... I wanted to cry because we have the same testimony.
Let me share my testimony.
I grew up from a Christian family with Methodist background and my wife was a Catholic then. We got married in December 1999 and my wife's wedding gift for me were three words only... she said was already a BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN.
We prayed for a baby but nothing, we tried praying and at the same time consulted some specialist (she took some medicines and did some procedures) but still nothing happen. My wife got so frustrated and she even stopped praying asking for a baby. One of the doctor even told us that my wife has only 25% chances of getting pregnant. I know by faith God will answer our prayers in His time.
May 2001 when my wife and I decided to go on mountain climbing and so we went. That night I asked my wife why she did not buy her napkins and only then we realised that she was one month delayed. We bought pregnancy test kit and early in the morning the following day around 1AM we did the test. The test came POSITIVE and both of us were surprised. We don't know what to say we just thanked God, hugged each other and went back to bed.
January 29, 2002 @ 11PM my wife gave birth to a healthy boy (8.6 lbs). God blessed us with a very smart child and no one can stop us thanking God for His precious gift to us. Did you know that my son love to sing Christian songs and some of his favorites are Majesty, Immanuel and Awesome God.
