8th Itinerary Trip - 2004 August

Dear Friends,

During August 2004, I was back ministering in Singapore. What a delight is was to be "home" again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Church of Singapore (Bukit Timah) Youth leaders during their Retreat. Ps Daniel Cheo and his team are wonderful people. This Youth group has the potential to light up Singapore. Go for it YI!

Medan was a blessing. Pak and Ibu Munthe were extremely generous and gracious. Their hospitality can only be described as "Indonesian" - full of goodness and kindness. Ps James Lee of Bethel Assembly of God was my traveling partner. It was good working in tandem with James.

God is good. He directed my steps such that I had a glorious outcome despite some setbacks during the later part of my trip.

I caught up with many friends - and ended up cleaning my HDB apartment in preparation for Joses' return to Singapore. That's right - my son is heading back to Singapore for two years. Watch this space.

Blessings

Steven Teo

Church of Singapore (Bukit Timah)

It was a great time ministering to the Youth leaders and Young Adults of COS(BT). This was a time of imparting all the leadership skills I acquired in my corporate days to young people who are eager and keen to move up the next level for God.

Teaching the Boys Brigade Officers and Captains was a pleasure. The link between Youth and Boys/Girls Brigade is a potential for great success. The key is working on the commonality. It is amazing how much we can achieve when we have a common purpose and platform. Too many of us focus on the differences rather than what is common to us.

The Youth Meeting on Saturday night was awesome. Holy Spirit moved in a wonderful way. I am always pleased when I see young people being touched at the altar. There is indeed a future for the next generation.

Ps Cheo was both kind and generous. Praise God.

9th August 2004

This is a special day for Singapore. It is National Day. It was celebration time for Singaporeans. Such pageantry and pomp! I was glad for the day because it was a rest day for me.

Medan, Indonesia

I flew into Medan with Ps James Lee of Bethel AG. James was traveling and ministering in tandem with me. James has a vision to spread the good news of God's kingdom. He is a businessman but his heart is to preach the Gospel to the nations around Singapore.

I was only too pleased to have James alongside so that he would catch the "fire" and over time take steps to evolve ministry in his own right. James was a blessing.

Teaching at the Bible School in Medan was a pleasure. We had three classes combined with over 200 students. The students were totally attentive and responsive. Our one and only altar ministry was flooded - and before we knew it, without exception, everyone was down on the floor weeping and mopping away. What an awesome manifestation of the Spirit of God.

We ministered at the GKII Chinese church (pioneered by my brother Rev. Ken Teo - he was a missionary for four years in Medan). We had awesome sessions where the presence of God was so real.

Sabarita and Yulanda were most helpful. We deeply appreciate their kind assistance in interpretation and being great hosts to us.

Pak & Ibu Munthe had quality time with us despite their busy schedule. They were most encouraging. Pak Munthe invited me to return next year. I would be honored to do so.

Bethel AG - Region 3

Caught with Ps James Lee on a Saturday afternoon as he had arranged a Holy Spirit clinic on spiritual gifting for his region.

It was classic clinic. Following the Word, we gathered in small groups and began to minister to each other. Many of the leaders were touched. Many have had prophetic words. Many were speaking into each other lives. Others were in tears and yet others were down on the floor. What a wonderful time of refreshing and renewing.

We were praying for the sick among us as well, believing that God will heal in His will.

MegaLife Youth, RiverLife Church

I spoke at RiverLife Church Youth on Saturday evening. It was a capacity crowd. Ps Joyce Lim was most welcoming.

I saw great potential, especially at the altar. Many were being prayed to lift up their spirits. I was praying for specific individuals that God would grant them His garment of praise in place of the spirit of heaviness.

Ps Joyce felt led to ask many to come forward for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Many, many young people were baptized that evening and began to speak in other tongues. Awesome.

Revival Meetings in God@Work Church

Ps Lawrence Seow is a great friend. We had a wonderful time basking in the glory of God. Many hearts and lives were touched by the presence of the Holy Spirit. There were prophetic words, words of knowledge and words of wisdom. God was healing many - either physical, situation, emotion and/or spiritual.

Ps Lawrence felt led to continue the meetings - so we have had a Monday night meeting as well. That night the church office was packed. Allow me to quote an email feedback from a leader of God@Work:

"It was a joy listening to you, and a greater joy listening to your heart and spirit. Thoroughly enjoyed your ministry and how God has broken into your life and brought you to the point of surrendered-ness. God has shone through you and His glory was evident in the meetings in God@work church."

The church was a real blessing to me. It is a generous church indeed.

Brighton Community Church

Pastor Tiak was kind enough to allow me to minister in his church on a last minute notice. I appreciate his trust. It was a privilege and a great opportunity to take his pulpit.

I had a great time with the congregation. Four people accepted the Lord or had a salvation reassurance. The altar was subsequently packed with young people. It was good to see many seeking God and being touched by the Holy Spirit. Praise God.
