1st Itinerary Trip - 2003 Sep

Dear Friends,

I have just completed a month-long ministry trip to the Philippines and Singapore. This is my maiden itinerary ministry trip and it is good to see God moving me to the next level of ministry.

It feels good to be able to add value to God's kingdom. It feels good to be a blessing to God's people. Pastor Dennis Koh of Tacloban City says that I have been a "catalyst" for him and his work there. Praise God.

Throughout the trip, I see the wonder of God's power to save, heal, correct, comfort, encourage, inspire and strengthen individuals as I spoke by the Holy Spirit into their lives. Leaders have been encouraged to move to the next level of ministry through the gifts of Spirit as in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11.

All the pastors have been very generous to me indeed. I am grateful to God for that. I came back exhausted but deeply satisfied that God moved through a novice like me albeit a willing one.

Philippines

Iloilo City

Had a wonderful time with Pastors Philip & Florence Ng. I was there from the 11th - 18th August 03. Ministered at the Bible Training School, nightly Revival meetings, visited a tribal work in the mountains, the Prison ministry and spoke in four services on Sunday. Many souls were saved; many more touched and lives transformed. The presence of God was very real. The Prison work was most moving. My heart cried for those young boys and girls in the Remand Centre. Many found the Lord Jesus as Saviour - so prison became a turning point in their lives!

Tacloban City

I was here from the 19th - 27th August 03. Pastors Dennis and Daisy have a great vision for their work. I am glad that Dennis saw me as a "catalyst". I know that the leadership here will move into the next level of ministry allowing the gifting of the Spirit to operate in definitive manners. Spoke at NLCM 6th anniversary on Sunday. God blessed us in a special way. It was great to have Kwang Liang there for the weekend. Together with the Kohs, we had a great time of renewal and fellowship. I look forward to a second visit to Tacloban City and ministering in the other four churches in the islands of Leyte and Samar.

Singapore

Faith Chapel

Had a great time of ministry in Pastor Jonathan's church. I was really surprised when Jonathan handed me a cheque to pay for my entire Philippines trip. Thank you for your kind and generous spirit.

Centre of New Life

It felt really good to be "home" - my home church in Singapore. I was very comfortable in CNL. God moved in a special way. I was extremely pleased to minister to many friends at the altar following the preaching of the Word. Pastors Lawrence and Helen Ong are good friends and the renewal of fellowship was just great.

Bethel Assembly

Met many old friends as I grew up in this church (20 years there till 1988). Enjoyed the warm fellowship of Pastor Chia Beng Hock and May Chia. Ministered in 2 services on Sunday. I was particularly impressed with the Youth Group. Around 50 of them were at the altar following the word. Many were weeping and sobbing away as the Holy Spirit touched their hearts. What a potential for this church!

My favourite people in Bethel AG! What a turning point. I know these leaders will now move into a new level of ministry among the boys and girls in their charge.
